Data Deletion

Last updated: 2 October 2026.

If you commented or messaged a Publisher

Ask the Publisher (the page or channel owner) to delete your messages from Herald; they can do it from the conversation. If you connected through Facebook or Instagram, removing Herald in your account settings sends Herald a deletion request automatically; you receive a confirmation code and can check its status at /webhooks/meta/data-deletion/{code}.

If you are a workspace member

Your Owner can revoke your access from the Team page (your sessions end immediately). To delete your account entirely, ask your Owner or write to privacy@ at this domain.

If you are a workspace Owner

Settings → Data → Delete workspace. After a seven-day grace period, during which only Owners can sign in and you can cancel, every conversation, message, draft, member, channel connection and credential is permanently deleted and connected platforms are disconnected. The audit log is kept without message content for two years, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can export the workspace first from the same page.

Automatic deletion

Closed conversations are deleted after 180 days (30 days for YouTube), raw payloads after 30 days, unsent drafts after 90 days; see the Privacy Policy for the full retention table.
